    3. Dear Linda, Welcome to the Muhlenberg County List. I think you will find this one of the most friendly and helpful Lists of all. Relative to your KIMMELS, I have searched Muhlenberg County records for many years, and I can tell you that KIMMELS go back to the very beginning of this county. I have noted early 1800 Kimmel marriages and other documents that involve Kimmels.as well. Can you be more specific as to exactly what information you are looking for? What are the names, dates and relationships of the KIMMEL and MORRIS individuals you are looking for in Muhlenberg County? By supplying that information you are more likely to get information that will be more useful to you. Best of luck to you in your research! 3. I'm not researching EPLEY's but do have a Fredonia Lena EPLEY who married Troy Shutt HILL if you're interested. Both died in Owensboro,KY but may have lived in Muhlenburg too since some of Troy HILL's siblings lived there for a time. I'm pretty sure I have some photo's of her also. Just let me know if you're interested. 3. I am a descendant of JOHN DURALL OR DURRELL. We find his family in Onslow County in the 1770-80's, revolutionary war era. He had a son named DAVID DURALL, b. in North Carolina who married an ELIZABETH WATKINS BARFIELD. The Durall and Barfields are found in Onslow, Duplin (1790), Cumberland counties in North Carolina and then finally Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. My oldest found Durall ancestor, John Durall, died there in 1808. The WATKINS, BARFIELD, DURALL group are always found moving in the same areas and time spans. I believe that David may be the son of a first wife for John. Has anyone any information on a Christen Hopkins in Onslow County NC? The wife we have record of is Martha, but the time span of all his children is 27 years. Hope this information is of interest to you. -----Original Message----- From: cheryl cessna [mailto:dutchgalncal11@comcast.net] Sent: Tuesday, April 04, 2006 12:24 AM To: KYMUHLEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [KYMUHLEN] kimmel...morris Can I jump in here...................one of my gr gr gr grandmothers was named Cinderilla Wilkins from No Carolina and she was married to either my Anthony or Barfield relatives who moved into Muhl Co very early on. 3. Fran, Which branch would your Wilkins come from? I happened to notice this, and, as this is the first Wilkins name I have seen here, was immediately interested. My line runs from James Wilkins, son of William, Sr., and grandson of John, ostensibly from Duplin County, North Carolina. William Sr. and his two sons, Wm. Jr. and James, showed up in Muhlenberg Co. around 1795, or so, give or take a year or two. 3. Hi, Linda. Welcome to the Muhlenberg County group! My roots in Muhlenberg County go back to 1803 (Wilkins). Both of my parents (Leahman Ray Nelson and Ida Frances Wilkins) were Muhlenberg County natives. I remember both sides of the family talking about the Kimmels, especially those who lived in Drakesboro. I have one Kimmel in my family tree -- but not as my direct descendant. Here's how: My mother's maternal grandparents were Warner Taylor Cardwell and Mary Elizabeth "Mollie" Lewis. They had 5 children: Jeanneta, Nellie, Golda Mae (my grandmother), James Marion, and Gertrude. Jeanneta married Dan Kimmel. My notes say they had 10 children, but I have not searched for names. They were among my mother's many first cousins. I'd be pleased to receive any additional info you can share on this Kimmel family -- or anything you might have about other Muhlenberg County names I'm researching: Wilkins, Cardwell, Roark, Lewis, Jarvis, Millard, Ingram, Diver, Nelson, Davis, Griffith. Thanks. 1. Marriage Lookup Short and Wariner or Warren
    2. I checked my data for SHORT and have nothing on that line, unless it's upstream from this branch. My line is that of David Everett Short and Tilly Sue Larkins who married 31 May 1888 and had 7 children: Stella, Maddie, Carroll, Edwin, Elizabeth, Samuel, Verona. Pat Larkins
