    2. Hi all, My mother Fanny HUDSON was raised in Bremen Ky. by Thomas BIDWELL and his daughter Florence. Also living in the house on the 1920 census is Larisa ELLISON who I found out was a cousin to Thomas. Any information would be a great help as I am at that good old brick wall. Thanks Marge Mackin

    3. Anybody interested in attending the RHOADS Family Reunion it will be held this year in Ennis KY. For details you can find them on the Muhlenberg County Web Page: http://www.rootsweb.com/~kymuhlen/ OR, contact me direct by email: jrcgenealogy@optonline.net and I will be glad to give you the details. We have a lot of fun as we get acquainted. It is a friendly group. We start our fun with a get together at the Ponderosa in Central City on Friday night, April 28th. That is followed by an exchange of genealogies, business meeting, and potluck noon meal on Saturday, the 29th, at the Ennis Community Center. My parents, George RHOADS and Minnie DOBBS, grew up and married in Muhlenberg County, and I am a direct descendant of David RHOADS, the youngest son of Captain Henry Rhoads. I travel over a thousand miles every year that I can to attend the RHOADS Reunion. This is the fifteenth year, I believe, and I plan to attend. 3. Joyce, Sorry to say but there is no connection to the Gossetts. Shame there isn't! I descend from a line that comes from South Carolina -> Union County, NC -> Sevier County, TN -> Muhlenberg County, KY. Nearly all my Gossetts stayed in or around Graham. William and Sarah Lucinda Goswick/Gossett (cousins and there was a name change with them) being my 4th g-grandparents, Noah M. & Sarah ______Rollins Gossett 3rd g-grandparents, Noah Abraham & Valera Grant Harrelson 2nd g-grandparents, Lela Gossett & Alexander "Sandy" Lorrison g-grandparents. I can actually trace the line to Germany in 1653. The name had many changes. By any chance do you know if Elijah fought in the Civil War? If he did, and he filed, or his wife filed for a pension, it may give information to help you. I know they have helped me. Good luck to you in finding more on Elijah, and I will keep him in mind when doing research. 3. Hi Cheryl, Saw your post on this list. Did you know that there is a book out titled "HELTSLEY-HELSLEY FAMILY" by Brenda Doss? It has over 530 pages (not including the index) plus a supplement that you can get from A. B. Willhite, 4396 Coopetown Road, Russellville, KY 42276. I bought both the larger book and the supplement and found my family in it clear back to 1799 in Rowan County, North Carolina. In the index I found your "CESSNA, Emmett and Ollie KNIGHT" mentioned under a Walter C. HELTSLEY (pg. 98). I have a half-sister in Central City, KY, who saw my book and kept saying over and over, "I know her," or "I know him," "I know them." She was so surprised to see so many people she knew that even though she has no interest in genealogy that she bought both books! My HELTSLEY family is mostly in Kentucky still. My father's name was Isaac Seymore HELTSLEY, his father's name was William "Willie" Richard HELTSLEY and on up the line. You can e-mail me if you want to discuss further. Janette Birch nee HELTSLEY

    3. I don't have very much on my Pyle line yet. My great-grandfather was David Pyle, born 1859 and died 1936. He is buried here in Muhlenberg County, but lived for a while in Crofton, Christian County, KY. He was married to Amy A Johnston. There are still a lot of Pyles in Christian County. I wish I had more to share. 1. SCHOOL HOUSE:
    2. Hey der & Hi to eberbody! Does any of you good folks out there have a picture of the school house that once stood on the Cemetery grounds at Forest Grove. This location is about one mile east of Browder, Muhlenberg County, Ky. on Highway #70. My wife who is now deceased, went to school there when she was a young girl, and is buried there now. Any help will be appreciated, thank you. Ivan J. Tucker
