    3. Hi again. Yes, indeed, there seems to be a connection between your Jarvis line and mine. Based on my records, Edward Jarvis, Sr. married Polly (surname unknown) in 1784 in North Carolina. They apparently moved to Muhlenberg County around 1802 or 1803. Children included Sarah "Sally," Simon, John, Margaret Elizabeth "Peggy" (my GGG grandmother), Polly (apparently born after 1788), Edward, Josiah, Delila. I do have Polly's marriage to Henry Heck on 6 Feb 1812 (Muhlenberg County, Ky., History and Families 1799-1996, Turner Publishing, Page 168). I have no info on children from that line. Looks like we're cousins at some degree! 3. My Meek connection is a very early connection to my Langley's and not one that I could connect with your Rev Meek. However I have a lady that does have an extensive Meek data base, so I have emailed her, and whenever she emails me back I will send what ever she sends. 1. Re: [KYMUHLEN] Randolph / Nichols
    2. Just a word of warning, take the Rothert book with a grain of salt and double check everything. Remember this is a secondary source at best. For example: He recounts a story about Christian Gish being killed by a team of horses in the Cumberland mountains when the family was traveling to Muhlenberg County. However further research finds his will probated several years later in the same county. It even mentions his wife Barbara and names the children, so I am sure it is the same Christian Gish. He also says that the Kittinger's who came to Muhlenberg were the children of Jacob of Switzerland. Kittinger's are my direct line. The Kittinger's in Muhlenberg were the children of Rudolph, and the grand children of Jacob of Switzerland. By all means read the book, there is good information in it. But double check everything with primary sources before you pass it on as gospel. Good hunting, Laura
