Lee Ann, That sounds so familiar, Mama used to talk about a cousin named John Robert. I have just started doing this about a year ago And I don't have all the aunts and uncles and their children down pat yet. But I can check with my aunt, mamas sister She is the only one left out of the family now. And we have a good library here. I was needing to get down there soon anyway. Do you know anything else about him? His children? Let me know ok LUV YA TONIA THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH AND MY SONG (exodus15:2) http://community.webtv.net/TPLUS409/ShuttFamily
Tonia, do you have a John Robert Shutt in your family tree? He married my aunt, Nancy Batsel and they lived in Greenville. He would have been born sometime around the late 1920s or so. Thanks Lee Ann
Searching for my HARRIS family from England>WI>KY. Nuhual HARRIS, the son of James HARRIS and Elizabeth JEFFREY was born 1873 in WI. Nuhual married in Hopkins County in the late 1890's, his children were born in Muhlenberg County. I haven't been able to find Nuhual and his parents on the 1880 census for WI, so I thought I would see if anyone could do a look up for the 1880 census for Muhlenberg County to see if there is a James and Elizabeth HARRIS with their children, one was born in 1870, a son, and Nuhual was born in 1873. Thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely, JM Peachey

Sandy: My MOSS/MORSE family lived in Prince William Co., Virginia in the mid-1700s also. Thought you'd be interested in the following: 1752: 23 October, Ebenezer and Obadiah MOSS added to Mr. WICKLIFF's list of Tithables. (Prince William Co., Va. Minute Book 23 Oct 1752) Is this Mr. WICKLIFF yours? If so, do you know where in Prince William County he lived? My Ebenezer and Obadiah MOSS must have lived in his district. Hello Dorann: I am somewhat interested in the Hunsakers/Hunsingers because of their connection to my SHULL/MATTHEWS/MATHEWS/DANIELS families of Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. Parts of these families moved north into White County, Illinois where they lived in the Burnt Prairie, Illinois area, 1825-1900. However, there you will find the name mostly evolved to HUNSINGER. Try that spelling, and you should find many. The Hunsingers performed many marriages for members of the Mt. Pleasant Primitive Baptist Church in Burnt Prairie in the 1800s. If you will post a query on the Rootsweb Mail List for White County, I am sure many Hunsinger researchers will respond. Good luck. Hi all, The Underwood census listing here apparently contains my uncle in law's father and grandfather. Simpler to say, Ernest Dayton Underwood, married my aunt, Maude Heltsley, in 1936. Dayton's father's name was Alfred and from the Muhlenberg area. Alfred's wife was Alda Whitson. Anyone connect more? Ernie Heltsley/Tucson/Muhlenberg native
