    3. Maya, If you can't locate a pre-1910 death certificate in Muhlenberg County, try the genealogy library at the Kentucky History Center in Frankfort. I have found birth, death, and marriage records there as early as the 1850s, and their records go back farther than I've searched. They have an online catalog of holdings at www.history.ky.gov. Click on the "Research" link on the left side, then "Library," then go to the bottom of the screen and click "Resources Available in the KHS Library." Also, this site has a "Research Services" link for requesting look-ups and copies of records. Another location to consider: The Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives, also in Frankfort. Check www.kdla.gov/research.htm. (Look at the list on the left side of the screen. You can submit research requests and purchase copies of birth/death/marriage/divorce/military records online.) There's also a free "ask a librarian" link for basic information about library holdings. To see the online catalog, click on "Catalog" -- a small link under the "Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives" heading. Also, thanks to Betty Burch for the suggestion to dig around in the Greenville library and courthouse. I hope to do that this spring. 3. Woohoooooo, in the SurnameSearchDaily@yahoogroups.com I belong to, it listed part of the indexed names of USGenWeb Archives Marriage Project...partial marriage books, I and II. Some of my ancestors are listed in 1802!! Now, my question is...is there a way to get these ancestor's information for their marriages, such as witnesses, and parents, etc.? Is there a lookup for these things...not just this particular index? I'm drooling here...yet not quite knowing how to get a hold of the complete details for the marriages.
