Frank and Entire Morgan List, Good grief people, lighten up!! In a world with wars, school shootings, etc., you'd think a bit of humor would help us all get through the day. I am a born and bred West Virginian, BUT, ALL of my ancestors are from Kentucky and I am VERY proud of that. We Appalachians are a very unique group of people. We are proud, intelligent, hardworking and also have hardshells. If we didn't we would never have survived this long as a culture. My grandmother was born in Morgan County. I have very close ties to Bath County, Floyd County, Greenup County and several more. I am a mile, (as the crow flies) from the Kentucky border. I have friends AND family who are just across the Big Sandy River. God knows, if anyone gets the brunt of jokes, it's West Virginia. We're barefoot, pregnant, toothless, jobless and Lord, do we love those food stamps. But if that letter had been about West Virginians rather than Kentuckians, it would have not been any less humorous. I have listened to TV (yes, and we do love those big satellite dishes to sit beside our mobile homes, too) all day long about the horror in Colorado and I found Frank's jokes to be absolutely hilarious. I don't understand you people. Anything to take our minds off worldy matters. You can surely ban Frank from the list, but throw me out too. He made my day a little brighter. I have forwarded his letter to all my friends and family (some pure bred Kentuckians.) Paula Berry Hampton West Virginia
