Howdy; I am looking for the parents and information about the family of James Burk, b. 1774. Also the parents of his spouse, Anna Robinson, b. 1789. They were married ca 1803 based on the Bible record birth of their first child in 1804. These folks were Russell County Va. residents from ca 1806 through the 1840 census when it appears that he and his family just fell off the earth. I have located a bit more about the children as noted below. I do not have birth places or death locations for the parents. Their children are: Barbara b. 1804 Thomas b. 1807 William b. 1809 in Va. m. Dicie Vencil. They had children in VA, Ohio and KY. Said to have died 1853 Springfield, Ill. Left descendants in Hancock County, KY Annie b. 1812 Sheffie b. 1814 Betsy b. 1816 Her name probably is Elizabeth James b. 1808 My line Thersa b. 1821 in VA. m. William Hurt, moved to Magoffin County, KY. I wonder if this William Hurt is the colonel commanding the 24th Ky. Inf.? Pollie b. 1823 Her name is probably Mary Charles W. b. 1828 may have married an Adams in Pike Co. KY Christina b. 1830 in Va. m. Elihu Joseph Hankins in Pike Co.
