McCleese 20 May 1891 I have an article sent to me by a native Morgan Countian and descendent of Isaac McKenzie down thru Rebecca's son Oscar who is a brother to William Augustus. This article is about "Gus" McKenzies Grandson who was a son of Charles "Charlie and Maggie? Carl McKenzie was b. 1905 and died 1998 at the Morgan County Appalacian Regional Hospital. He was a wood carver and from the article taken from the Lexington-Hearld, a good one at that. I have lost trace of my "Gus and Permelia McKenzie and since this article mentions both Wolfe County and Powell County am wondering if this is where they went? Where did they die? Where were they buried? Who did Charles "Charlie" McKenzie marry and when? The article states that his father Charlie worked for a logging Company in Wolfe County and was killed by lightening in 1912. His mother Maggie ?? died from Complications from the measels in 1918. Carl's survivors were: A son Victor McKenzie Bonita Springs Fl, A daughter Essie Lovely (wife of Rev. Bernie Lovely) of Morehead 7 Grandchildren, 14 Ggrandchildren and 7 GGgrandchildren. His services were held at the Wells Funeral Home at Stanton. Anything that you can add will be appreciated. Vivian
