    3. I am looking for information on Elizabeth Baker Nickell Davis. I think she may be my GGGG Grandmother. Also looking for information on her daughter, Elizabeth Baker Nickell. Someone told me that Elizabeth Baker Nickell Davis was sometimes called Kate and that it is possible that her maiden name was Patrick. She was said to have married a man by the name of James Baker, or at least they think his first name was James but his last name was Baker. They had the following children: 1. a son that we don't know what his name was.... 2. Eliza Baker, born Sept. 16, 1818 and died in July of 1889. She married William Childers in 1859 in Morgan Co., Ky. 3. Elizabeth Baker, born abt. 1823 and married John B. Nickell. [These maybe my GGG Grandparents. I found my GG Grandmother, Elizabeth Nickell living with them in the 1860 census for Morgan Co. Ky. and the other children seemed to be the one's that we felt like were her siblings. She had three sisters who married Shackelfords. My GG Grandmother, Elizabeth Nickell was born in Dec. 1841 and married Greenville T. Little in June of 1861 in Morgan Co.,Ky. and they had 7 children and then moved to north Texas to Dallas County. They settled in Wilmer, Texas just south of the city of Dallas and lived the rest of their life there. There is still a street there called Little Street that runs down the side of where their homestead was. 4. Nancy Baker, the next child, was listed as an idiot child and was born between 1822 and 1825. It seems that she had a child out of wedlock and her name was Cynthia. 5. Martha Francis Baker, born May 1827 in Perry Co.,Ky. She died April 20, 1924 in Morgan Co.,Ky. She first married Henry Oditt and after he drown in a river, she married Uriah Cottle. 6. Nancy Baker married a Timothy Terrill on March 9, 1848 in Morgan Co. Ky. I don't know if this is the same Nancy as above or if there were two daughters named Nancy. Elizabeth[Kate] Baker married Thomas Nickell in 1835 in Morgan Co. Ky. after her first husband Baker either died or they divorced. They had at least one child, George K. Nickell and poss. another child, Mahala Nickell. After Thomas Nickell died, Elizabeth Kate Baker Nickell married a James Davis in 1853 in Morgan Co. Ky. I would like to find out more information about this family and see if I can find out more about Elizabeth [Kate] Baker Nickell Davis and the people that she was married to. Also would like to find out more about her daughter, Elizabeth who married John B. Nickell. I have seen information on Rootsweb connect that says that this Elizabeth was married to another man named Nickell instead of John B. Nickell. There seems to be so many different ideas about the Nickell family and all of the different connections from others. I really could use some help to untangle all of this mess. I need to have some marriage records and death records and whatever other records that we could find connecting these people to each other. I have tried to get my GG Grandmother's death certificate. Elizabeth Nickell Little born Dec. 1841 died in Jan. of 1929 in Dallas, Texas and there doesn't seem to be a death certificate for her but then she may have another name that I don't know about. I am going to continue to try to find a death certificate for her. Her husband, Greenville T. Little died in Nov. of 1902 from the results of a buggy accident. He died in Wilmer. They are both buried in Lancaster, TExas at the Edgewood Cemetery next to two of their older children, Charles Little and Charlotte Little named after Greenville T. Little's parents. Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks, Jane Little McEndree janemce@sbcglobal.net Jane Little McEndree janemce@sbcglobal.net
