Hello, I am writing to the group today to let all of you know we are closer than ever now to getting the Bishop/Bischoff book done. I am still accepting pictures and information however, that any descendants or other researchers may wish to contribute. This book is about all of the known descendants of Hans Johannes Bischoff (later name changed to John Bishop) and Margaretha Overmeyer, 1/st wife- 2/nd wife/partner Ruth Elkins. Family settled in the Floyd/Montgomery county areas of Virginia, with descendants spreading out and concentrating in the Pike/Floyd/Lawrence/Morgan etc county areas in Kentucky, and also into Jackson/Roane county areas in West Virginia.
