I hope I don't offend anyone with this response, which is to the mailing list because I believe or hope that the issue is one that many subscribers might be interested in. The steward of the list, and I believe only the steward of the list, has a right to dictate whether subscribers respond only to a single individual, or to the whole list. I certainly hope that subscribers use some discretion on whether to reply to the list. Seems to me a dialogue about Web site issues are most appropriate for the entire list. Those not interested can hit their delete key in, what, about one second? I make this assertion most respectfully and in good humor.
