Carter February 17, 2004 Middletown Journal, Middletown, Ohio Rosetta Combs Rosetta Combs, 73, of Middletown, passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2004, at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Ezel, [Morgan County], Ky., on Dec. 12, 1930, and had lived in Middletown since 1986. Rosetta was employed in the factory at General Motors for 12 years before retiring in 1986. She was a member of the Christian Enterprise Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lige and Ida Lawson; two brothers, Robert and Herbert Lawson; and a sister, Mary Taylor. Survivors include a daughter, Yvonne (William) Reece of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, Bobby Combs of Middletown, Ohio, and David (Kimberly) Combs of Dayton; three grandchildren, Brian (Crystal) Combs, and Cynthia and Joshua Combs; a great-grandchild, Jonah Combs; four brothers, Marvin and Charles Lawson, both of Middletown, and Jerry and Emmit Lawson, both of Franklin, Ohio; three sisters, Ella Honaker of Franklin, and Nell Blevins and Hazel Leturgez, both of Middletown; and numerous nieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home, with the Rev. James R. Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.
