I like the idea of getting all the mail you never know when someone elses question can connect to a line you are researching. I have found many on the mailing list. It only takes a few seconds to delete what you don't want or need. Eva Keck
Yeah, that's what I just wrote in response to Joe Greens comment. Bill D. Oakley --------------------------------------------------------------------- "Are you still wasting your time with spam?... Folks, I am the list admin now. If the note will help others, please reply on list. If the note says "no" or "thanks" or something not helpful to the list a private reply is best. We've had a few folks leave the list today; they probably forsee a big discussion on this. Hopefully they'll return in a few days. Some folks just have no time to delete or set up preferences or they hate the idea of it so its best we all try to keep in mind "helpful to others" or "a quick note to sender". Thanks! We have a good number of new folks on the list. I hope this helps clarify the best way to handle it. Remember, if you hit "reply" everyone sees your note. Even the most experienced researcher has accidently replied to the list with something personal that would be better off left unsaid <laugh> so be careful! So, I didn't get an answer to my question. If anyone comes across a yearbook or has an opinion on privacy, I'd like to hear from you. And now how about posting any breakthroughs anyone has had lately. Mine haven't been in genealogy I'm afraid :) Once I get my oldest off to college (a Kentucky college BTW!) and my youngest settled in a little more I should have more time but for now I'm in a holding pattern. Our adoption was finalized last Friday <big smile>. Howdy Folks, You know I am kinda old and I like getting the emails. If I don't want the info I know how to get rid of it. So I say let the emails flow and thank everyone who emails.
