    3. Dear Folks - On the Holbrook Subject: I wonder if there was two men named John Wesley Holbrook from Morgan County in the same time frame? I haven't really checked. But . . . My Great Grandmother was Emily Jane Holbrook (whose brother was supposed to be a John Wesley Holbrook) This John Wesley Holbrook had a daughter named Emily Holbrook Salyer. Emily and her brother John Wesley's parents were - Randolph Hargis Holbrook and Elizabeth Holbrook Holbrook. In turn - Randol Hargis Holbrook's parents were John Henry Holbrook and Susannah Back. In turn - John Henry Holbrook's parents were Randolf Holbrook and Elizabeth Adams The similarity of the names involved in the message below and the name John Wesley make me wonder. Maybe I just can't see the connection properly or there is no connection or there is some inaccurate info floating around and I got some of it. Any ideas? I have photos of several of these individuals (not very sharp and clear) - but I would be willing to share. The photos I have are: John Wesley and wife, Emily Holbrook Salyer, Susannah Back and Elizabeth Holbrook Holbrook. I also, have a family photo of Elizabeth Holbrook and her second husband James Farrish. There are numerous children in the photo (probably from both marriages) Unfortunately: I do not have a photo of my great grandmother Emily Jane Holbrook - but she is supposed to look very much like her niece - Emily Holbrook Salyer. After a little more review it would seem that there is no direct connection of the folks listed below and my line except Emily and John Wesley as brother and sister. Oh well. Cordially - Joe Greene **************************************** -jschulke wrote: > Martha Ellen Holbrook dau of: > James Granville Holbrook and Rebecca Susannah Elizabeth Back > Jamse the son of John Wesley Holbrook and Lou Vicey Miller > etc. > > Laura McKenzie wrote: > > > Wardie chatted with my dad one time and I got the impression he was kin > > through more than our Williams family.
