Wardie chatted with my dad one time and I got the impression he was kin through more than our Williams family. Does anyone know who Martha Ellen Holbrook belonged to? This is a likely link. Thanks! Hi Hazel and Wardie were related through the Crafts. I talk to her quite often. If anyone has any questions about the Crafts and Bach families she really loves doing this and hopes everyone else does too. I am sure she would be receptive to a phone call. Hazel comes through Archelous Craft. Her place is called Memory Hill on Route 191. Joyce, My uncle (who lives in Greenup County) and I ran over to Memory Hill last summer. The cabins are beginning to get run down. There isn't the support for the project there used to be, we were told by a worker there. He was pretty worried that we'd get into a nest of copperheads (not understanding that I live in the South in a forest where the woods are full of timber rattlers and copperheads.) He was so worried about it that we cut our visit short. I did take lots of pictures and once I find which disposable camera they are on, I'll share them with folks. Hi, Which Craft does Haxel decend from? I have a lot of Craft's in one of my lines. Also what and where is the house and stuff you were talking about. Mary
HOWDY, noticed your reply on the Morgan site this eve....they have not had many letters on that recenlty...sems it just goes by spells when they get off on a tanget like that stuff that guy out on there and that about caused a panic didn't it.... Guess you have lots of info now on Daniel Williams.....I think I told you I have been to his grave and made shots, but don;t where I stuck them....have you seen that stuff at Haxel Craft's place where they are donating all those cabins and items in his memory??? i was once there to see them when Wardie was living...that is surely a big house.... We went to see the movie, "Gods and Generals" this eve and it is really good for a CW movie.....he thought most of the events shown were true to the history of the times....it was about 4 hrs. long, which was not too good but we walked around during intermission... We ahve had over 46 inches total snow this winter...had about 6 inches last yr...so you can see why it has been a bad winter for us....it even flurried here today followed by lots of fog and mist during the day....hope it doesn't get slick out... What's your latest projects now??? your class homework and geny stuff I bet!!! j

I have our direct lines but have nothering else to speak of except Rebecca Elam Bond and her husband were both doctors. Do you know if our Elams are from Elamton. Rebecca is buried in the Conley cemetery near Dingus. Rebecca's parents are Nimrod Elam and Mary Polly Eastering...Appreciate anything you have to add. Barbara, I have a Joseph Leslie "Les" Elam from Morgan Co. KY, that migrated to Tillman Co. OK in 1907 and married a Washburn, of my mother's line. I would love to have his parent's names and other ancestors. I have wondered if Les was related to Jesse Elam that married Margaret, Mar. 7, 1856 in Morgan Co.KY. . Witnessed by Joseph and Wm. Elam. Married by James Fugett. Bill D.
