    3. The information I gave below was based on looking at a 1"=14 mile AAA road map. Better I had looked at the Morgan County map in the second link below. It has been a long day, so let me send this virus reminder: It seems that there is a virus out there called the C-nile Virus that even the most advanced programs from Norton cannot take care of, so be warned, it appears to affect those of us who were born before 1933, but has been known to appear in much younger persons. Symptoms of C-nile Virus: 1. Causes you to send same e-mail twice. 2. Causes you to send blank e-mail. 3. Causes you to send to wrong person. 4. Causes you to send back to person who sent it to you. 5. Causes you to forget to attach the attachment. 6. Causes you to hit "SEND" before you've finished the Bob Carpenter ----- Original Message ----- From: "mobius30" <mobius30@attbi.com> To: <KYMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, 08 March, 2003 5:55 PM Subject: Re: [KYMORGAN] Gevedon- Wheeler > Index is about 3 mile south of West Liberty, at the junction of U.S. Hwy 460 > and State Route 191. 3. Hi I am 3 miiles from Index. I believe before the new road was put through Idex was a little community separate from West Liberty. Index now uses the post office in West Liberty. I work with many Gevedons and some Wheelers. If you could post the pictures to this site or my mns Morgan County Kentucky Geneology site then I could have some locals view them and they may know who they are Marla Taylor ----- Original Message ----- From: "b fernandez" <BFERNANDEZ@neo.rr.com> To: <KYMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, March 08, 2003 4:03 PM Subject: Re: [KYMORGAN] Gevedon- Wheeler > Hi, Yes there is a Index, Ky it's at the edge of West Liberty,KY. THAT WAS THE HOME OF MY AUNT FANNY JOHNSTON AND I STILL HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF HER AND THAT OLD HOUSE OF HER'S. INDEX DID AT ONE TIME HAVE IT'S OWN POST OFFICE TOO. We live in Lake County, Central Florida and the smell of orange blossoms permeates the air. We had a high today of 88 which is a bit unusual since it seldom gets that hot even in mid-summer but it was not unpleasant and we had a major wind that made the air pleasant. It has been only about 4 weeks ago that we had our winter on two nights. Freezing temps for about 5 hours caused major damaged to banana trees and other tropical shrubs. We have had warm weather and a lot of rain ever since to repair the damage of those few hours. Our town is Howey in the hills. We are northwest of Orlando in rolling hills and lots of lakes. You seem to have a lot of info on the Gevedon's so you may have all the info I do. Let me know if you have any missing icons that I may have. There was much intermarrying among the families: Chastain, Carter (Cartier) Martin (Martain) and the Gevedons. The name changed over the years as Anthony's name was Gevaudan and therefore all subsequent names should have been the same. However in addition to Gevedon there is Jividin, jeffodan etc. Gevaudan is an area of France that still has that name. Regards, Aaron

    3. Aaron, Dave Henry Gevedon was my wife's grandfather. Family records show his father's name as Willis Green Gevedon and his mother as Mary Jane Carter. Dave was born November 29, 1875 in Morgan Co. KY and died May 17, 1964 in Morehead, KY. He married Martha Elizabeth Gevedon on Feb 7, 1902 in West Liberty, KY. Martha was born May 1, 1884 in Morgan Co., KY and died September 20, 1981. Her father was Berry Chastain Gevedon, brother of Willis, and her mother was Arta Mecie Perry. They had one child, Roy Telford Gevedon who was born July 28, 1905 in Morgan Co. KY and died Sept 11, 1985 in Morehead, KY. I also show Margaret J. Gevedon as being the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Ann Leach. I have a birth date of Nov 1, 1859 in Morgan Co., KY and that she married a John W W Wheeler on January 1, 1884. This is the only info I have--------no date of death, no children, no dates or parents for John (and I think the two W's are suspect). Thanks so much for writing. Wonder how we should proceed?? How is your weather? Our day time has been in the 70's, but they are forecasting 80's this coming weekend. Our citrus is in full bloom and the whole town is filled with the aroma of orange blossoms. (We live in Lake Havasu City, AZ--------this is where they moved the London Bridge several years ago.) ----- Original Message ----- From: <AARIN@aol.com> To: <KYMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 06, 2003 12:11 PM Subject: Re: [KYMORGAN] Wheeler - Gevedon > In a message dated 3/2/2003 8:31:23 PM Eastern Standard Time, > jimdave@citlink.net writes: > > > Dave Henry Gevedon > > Jim, just a little info to start.
