    1. [KYMORGAN] Kentucky Explorer May 2003
    2. Laura McKenzie
    3. Folks, first thing I do when I get my issue of The Kentucky Explorer is check the map on the back for E KY articles. I see that there is something about Yocuum Falls in the May issue I got today but I've gone through the magazine three times and still haven't found anything about Yocuum falls. Can anyone tell me where it might be? I'm a little bleary from making trenches in the rain (flooding) or huddling in our basement (MANY tornadoes came this way today.) I'm probably being dim. Dr. Helen Price Stacy wrote a quick note that is on pg 5 nothing names of children in a photo of Morgan County students. There is a picture of Merle Nickell and Bill Hill (both of West Liberty) taken in 1944 on page 109 too. There is also an article about a nearby neighboring town, HAZEL GREEN, on page 51. 3. My mother is a Kansas Auxier with Kentucky roots. For the past several years I have been researching records for the descendants of Simon Auxier who is buried in Floyd County, KY. Ezekiel Auxier was a grandson of Simon's and was living in Morgan County, KY in 1888. I am trying to learn if this Miss Auxier was a daughter of Ezekiel. If she is not then I would like to find out how she fits into the family tree. I would greatly appreciate any help you could provide. No hurry. I just learned of this event and it happened in or before 1888. Gratefully Judith Tickel Need At 08:33 PM 5/1/2003, you wrote: >Dear Judith, >I live in Mt. 3. Folks, Below are specifics about this year's East Kentucky genealogy reunion. I attended last year's reunion and can tell you that it was wonderful! Putting a face to the researchers I share information was great; the Ramada had lots of room and the facilities were wonderful. I found a good bit of new information too! I won't make it this year. With a newly adopted two year old in the house, our hands are full but I'd go if I could!! Last year two of my sons (ages 14 and 7) and I spent the week at the Falls Campground in Lawrence County so that I could attend my family reunion one weekend and this reunion the next. If you are looking for a place to park your camper, I can verify that its a very nice place to camp. I can round up contact information if anyone wants it.
