Sharon, I upgraded my computer a few months ago and desperately need a new scanner which I have not bothered to get as of this date. Am glad that Marla Taylor volunteered to go to the John T. Williams cemetery and get a picture for you. There is an organization of the Sons of Confederate Veterans which is quite active in Morgan Co. and I know they have set several markers. It is the George W. Cox Camp in Wolfe Co., Ky. Any one interested in more information or having a request for a Confederate Marker should contact Harold and Henrietta McKinney, 1971 Kellacey Rd., West Liberty, KY 41472, phone: (606) 725-5133. Delivery of the stones is rather slow. A marker for Lewis Henry, Jr. "Big" Lewis, to be set in the Index cemetery has been on order for better than a year. But I know they would appreciate additional confederate names that they might not be aware of. Let me make that just a little clearer, the guy who is helping with this site is a current re-enactor and know people from all over, so if they were from Danville or Pikeville, he can hook you up with a unit who will place a marker, in MOrgan Co. he would like to do this. Now clear as mud ain't it. Last November I made my first trip to Kentucky. I was pleased to find out that a Civil War monument had recently been placed on my great grandfathers grave, William Bond. A new road was built to get the monument in and sadly it had rain (muddy) so much that I couldn't get in to see the graves. I would appreciate any information on the Dingus area. William Bond and wife and a few others are buried in the CONLEY Cemetery at Dingus Ky. His descendants that built the new road and had the monument brought are CONLEY, DANIELS AND COX. I am hoping someone might have pictures or knowledge of the cemetery. The new road leading back to the cemetery is across the street from the CONLEY STORE in what was once Dingus. Williams mother Rebecca Elam Bond is buried there. Her parents are Nimrod Elam and and Mary Polly Easterling. Sharon I am trying to find the gravesite of Henderson Stacy who married Virginia Gevedon. He was the son of Meshack Stacy and Vilet Barker Stacy. Their graves are on Stacy Fork behind Jim Henry Finches home. I am going to get a fund raiser going to mark their graves. Jim Finch turned her marker over 40 years ago so that it wouldnt ruin. Her name is spelled VILET. I will let you know about Civil War Vets. Great job you are doing....Sharon really good...Hope our ancestors are please with us... I admire this that you are doing. Too bad more wouldn't go out of their way to help someone they aren't even related to. ----- Original Message ----- From: <JHENRYMUS@aol.com> To: <KYMORGAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, September 16, 2003 6:17 AM Subject: Re: [KYMORGAN] Marker for John T.
