I am searching for Joseph Nickell. He was born in Augusta Co., Virginia, lived in Greenbrier Co., Va/WVa. and died in Montgomery Co., Ky ca. 1829. He reportedly served in Lord Dunmore's war under James Henderson, and participated in the Battle of Point Pleasant. I am searching for documentation on this. I am also searching for his gravesite. Any information will be greatly appreciated!!! Marcia Helton
Marcia, I find the Nikell (Nichol) surname in my tree by marriage to my grandmother's sister in Switzerland County IN which is not too far from Montgomery Co., KY. You might try looking there.
