Melina Skidmore b. 1821 in Powell Co (actually Montgomery or Estill Co at that time) Melina m. John Ledford c. 1838 and had 8 children, one of which, Margaret, is my G-Grandmother. I actually knew Joseph B. ("Uncle Joe") who passed in the late mid-late 40's. This is supported by two references. I have John Skidmore b. 1789 d. 1869 Harlan, m. Mary "Polly" Noe b. 1802 d. 1857. I will have to check my notes for sources of these dates. John & Mary are parents of Melina.
