To the two ladies recently discussing their Payne family connections and especially the lady talking about her Strange family connections; I am a Payne family researcher and would love to see any info you may have on the Paynes of PA, OH, KY, Harrison Co., In. I have collected quite a bit of info on the branch descending from Samuel Payne b. abt 1745 in PA and his wife Mary Stillwell. There son Jonathan b. 1770 m. Elizabeth Wright abt 1798 had a son William b. 1803 who married Amma Beem in Owen Co., Indiana in 1826. They then had seven daughters and one son. The best information I have is that this male line died out over the next 100 years. Fortunately my Dean line intermarried with them three times.
