the phunnie was phantastic! Loved it, Nola I have a murder mystery that may have ended in some bad blood and feuding. When my brains are a little less scrambled, I'll give more details, but here's a quick summary; Two of my grandfather's brothers were charged with and indicted and brought to trial for a murder. They were later found not guilty due to reason of self defense. But, a few years later, the whole family left Rowan county (where they all had been living and where the murder had occurred, and uprooted and moved from Morehead to Ashland, KY. The man's name who was killed was a William Igo. The two brothers who shot and killed him were Tubil Mathias Dennis and Francis Marion Dennis. The murder took place in Rowan county, KY in 1891. There's more to the story, and one of my cousins tracked down the original indictment for the murder and sent all us cousins a copy, so I can transcribe and post it to this list and to the Rowan county list, if the arthritis in my hands will settle down a bit. I gather from the bench warrents that were issued for the two brothers that they fled the area, and were brought back to stand trial. Allie Young was their defending attorney (Allie Young and his father ZT Young figured prominately in the Rowan county wars). More on that later, too. Let me know if this rings any bells for anyone.
