I AM RESEARCHING HAGGARDS, HANKS AND KINDRED IN MID-1800'S AND EARLY 1900'S.
Patricia, hello, I have the Haggard book, and the Gentry book, which also lists Kindreds. My Haggard is John, born 1783, in North Carolina, and married to Juda Kindred in Clark County, I believe. John's Father was Rev William Haggard was brother to the noted divine in the area, Rev Rice Haggard. They were both sons of Edmund Haggard who was second son to the first Haggard to come to America, James Haggard, who left England bound for Norfolk, Va., in about 1698. James Haggard's sons were: Nathaniel, Edmund, Zachariah, and Gray (or Granville). I may be able to help, as our Haggards were all over that area, at an early day. I need more detail from you, if possible. Thanks, Marty Smith Wells, Pierceton, Indiana ----- Original Message ----- From: "Patricia Todd" <pattodd3@tampabay.rr.com> To: <KYMONTGO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, January 03, 2006 2:39 PM Subject: [KYMONTGO-L] ROLL CALL > > > I AM RESEARCHING HAGGARDS, HANKS AND KINDRED IN MID-1800'S AND EARLY 1900'S. > > > ==== KYMONTGO Mailing List ==== > Post the Bible records of your Montgomery County, Kentucky ancestors (and surrounding areas). Hello Judy, my Gentry book doesn't list any in the name index, but my Haggard book doesn't have a name index. Is there more information you can give me? It might help.
