I'm looking for information on Josiah BRYANT who is listed on the 1810 census for Montgomery Co. In 1820 he is listed in Floyd Co. Since Montgomery lost land to Floyd in 1818 I believe Josiah stayed where he was in 1810 and his address just changed. I'm trying to determine if this Josiah is mine or not. I believe he is but can't prove it. I just found information submitted by Janet Wolf regarding the marriage of Josiah Bryant to Elizabeth Tribet O'Hair in 1819 in Floyd Co. Elizabeth was the widow of Michael O'Hair. If this is my Josiah then he must have been a widower as well. Elizabeth died in 1839 in Putnam Co., Indiana. I have no idea what happened to Josiah. I can't find either of them on the 1830 census. My Josiah was in Patrick & Montgomery counties Virginia prior to 1800. He was married to Lydia Ratliff, daughter of Silas Ratliff. I found two Ratliff families in Montgomery Co., KY on the 1810 census but don't know if they're connected to Lydia or not. I'm also interesting in knowing more about Morgan Station. Who was it named after? Sure hope this sounds familiar to some of you. Thanks, Marsha Buck DeepRoots@sisna.com www.pageproducer.com/users/deeproots/index.html
