Hi - I'm Hazel Allee Burns - my great-great grandparents William Allee and Elizabeth Owen Allee lived in Montgomery County, KY from about 1815 until 1829. They moved to Montgomery County from Barren County, KY, and moved from Montgomery County, KY, to Putnam County, IN. Seven of their 12 children were born in Montgomery County: Mildred/1818, David/1820, Ruth/1821, Andrew Jackson/1821 (my ancestor), Joseph/1823, Isaac/1825, and Charity/1827. Three of their spouses were Bridgewaters - wonder if that family also lived in Montgomery County and might have moved with them to Putnam County, IN. My brick walls are: Why did William and Elizabeth Allee move to Montgomery County, why did they leave Montgomery County, where did they live while in Montgomery County, and names of neighbors. I'd be happy to pay one of your local genealogists/family historians if they'd check land records for the period 1814/1829. The 1820 Montgomery County census should have them listed. Or there might be some church records - they were Baptists.
