    3. My Wills ancestor was Andrew Wills, Sr., b. abt 1755, place unknown, d. 1815 in Fleming Co., KY. Wife was Martha [--?--]. Their children were Samuel, James, Andrew Jr., Rosanna, Mary "Polly", John, and Sarah "Sally". Andrew Sr. was a private in Capt. George Matthews' Company, Second Regiment, KY Mounted Volunteer Militia, during the War of 1812. He was a school teacher. His daughter Mary married Alexander Ramsey (or Ramsay) on Jan 20, 1795 in Bourbon Co., KY. Alexander died Jan. 1, 1807 in Fleming Co., KY, and is buried in New Hope Graveyard. Mary was his second wife.

    3. Anne, I am descended from Frederick William Wills, born 1742, Albemarle Co. VA. He and his wife, Frances Durrett, and ten children moved to Clark Co. KY in the late 1780's. It is possible that Frederick and your Andrew are related. I have nothing at all to prove that. In fact, we have no further information about Frederick William other than that his father's name was William. This is just a suggestion...you may want to see if you can turn anything up about Andrew in the Albemarle County area of Virginia. If you've done any research on Virginia lines, you know that Albemarle county is made up of bits and pieces of many other Virginia counties and looking for records there can be frustrating. Whatever, I wish you luck. Let me know if you think I might be of help to you. Marilyn
