Comment on Deism, which was mentioned, with a question mark.......... I believe that Deism was a sort of vague belief in a God who "spun the world into existence," and then left it to follow the naturalistic laws that He put in place. Many of the founding fathers of our country had this sort of belief. Belief in something like this without confidence in the Bible's record of human history and a God who is interacting with humans would be grounds for denying membership in a conservative Christian church. That is my take on why that person was not allowed membership in the Lulbegrud Baptist Church. Joan Benton
