Sharlene, Jacob Coons (b 1740, Culpeper Co, VA; d 22 Sep 1807, Montgomery Co, KY) and his wife, Elizabeth Hanback are my wife's direct ancestors. Elizabeth died in Oct 1793. Jacob remarried in 1793-1794 to Letitia Kemper (1762-1845). This Jacob's children were: with Elizabeth Hanback: Mary Coons (b 1766) James Coons (b 1768-1771) John Coons (b 9 May 1773) Phoebe Coons (b abt 1775) Martin Coons (b 1779) Elizabeth Coons Anne Coons with Letitia Kemper: Jacob Coons (b abt 1794) Nancy Coons (b aft 1796) Henry Coons (b 1797) Joseph Coons (b abt 1800) Church records from the Lulbegrud Baptist Church seem to identify Jacob Coons and wife Letitia as members in 1993-1994. I do not know who the Nancy Coons is who is also on the list. A Jacob Coons is also identified as representing the Mt. Sterling Baptist Church in 1804 at the Northern Kentucky United Baptist Church Association Meeting.
