    1. Re: [KYMONTGO-L] Lulbegrud Baptist Church
    2. The minutes of the Lulbegrud Church for Saturday, November 3, 1793, state that Peter DeWitt was that day received into membership " ... by Experience & Baptism." There are gaps in continuity in my copies made from the LDS microfilm, but several pages later, under the date of September 16, no year stated, I find, " ... Peter Dewitt excluded for openly professing Deism(?), denying the scriptures ..." At that point, my page breaks and continues at some later date without further explanation. Vickie may very well want to view the LDS microfilm himself for a possibly more complete version of events. Meanwhile, Vickie, I have it in my Treadway database that Moses Treadway, on July 9, 1794, in Clark County, Kentucky, was married to a Catherine DeWitt, daughter of Peter DeWitt and Jane Bray. This Moses would have been the son of John Treadway, Sr., an original member of the Lulbegrud Church, who died in his 90's in Montgomery County, Ky. I would be interested in hearing what you may know of her and her family. There appears to be some contradictory information in the book, History of the Tredway Family, in that several descendants of a Moses Treadway state that he was married to a Mary DeWitt in 1790 in what was to become Montgomery County. It could be that the one Moses married two sisters, or they could all be entirely unrelated. However, I would welcome your input. Tom Haddow
