Frank, a lot of people from Montgomery and Clark County left for Putnam County, Indiana in the 1820's, 1830's, including the Badgers and later some of their kinfolk, the Allens and Williams. The lure of land that could be cultivated pretty easily seems to have been the draw. If you have any of the associated family surnames, I would like to correspond with you.
