    1. Re: [KYMONTGO-L] Re: Woodall Cemetery
    2. Frank Woodall
    3. What I know is this: Robert Cross Woodall (m. Lavina Saffley or Softley in Montgomery Co., Ky) bought two quarters of land in Putnam Co.; onto one quarter moved John Thomas Woodall (who married a Jane Richardson and who has a namesake in Robert Cross' children, my great grandfather, John Thomas buried at DeSmet S.D. just down the hill from the Ingalls family of Little House fame.) Onto the other quarter Robert Cross Woodall himself moved. --- William Bonner <[email protected]> wrote: > Frank, a lot of people from Montgomery and > Clark County left for Putnam > County, Indiana in the 1820's, 1830's, > including the Badgers and later > some of their kinfolk, the Allens and Williams. > The lure of land that > could be cultivated pretty easily seems to have > been the draw.
