I need help locating a will for John Stewart who died in Montgomery Co., KY in 1827. This John was born about 1775 (state of birth unknown at this time), married Mary Polly Wright in Bourbon Co., KY on December 1, 1795; and then he moved his family from Bourbon to Montgomery Co., KY where he died in 1827 (probably towards the latter end of 1827). The Stewart Clan magazine states this John left a will and I desperately need to know where to go to get a copy of this will and also his estate settlement papers, etc. I would like to plan a trip to Montgomery Co., KY as I think this John is my ancestor, and I believe his kinfolk came from Scotland. Can you recommend places to visit in Montgomery County, etc., that would make my trip most beneficial? Also, some of John's children moved to Indiana and then on to Polk Co., Iowa where some Vice children are found living in their households. Do any of these names ring a bell?
