Hi all.............I want to make sure I stay on this list. I understand you have a new leader, so we are to re-introduce ourselves. I am descended from Samuel Varner Whitsett and Maggie Tuttle who either bought or "staked out" land on Lulbegrud Creek in 1786. Their son, Joseph Whitsett, married Rebecca Stewart, daughter of Ezekiel Stewart. Their youngest, Stewart Whitsett, was my direct ancestor. Several of the Whitsetts later moved to Lafayette Co., MO.
