I have received an incredible amount of helpful information from the various books of Thelma Dunn. It saddens me to tell you that she is no longer publishing her Montgomery county books. I spoke with Thelma last weekend. She has survived two bouts with cancer but is now fighting her way back from being totally sidelined by rheumatoid arthritis. Thelma did want me to pass on that she has sent copies of her books to the Kentucky Archives in Frankfort and to the National Archives. Many libraries have her books also, or they can be obtained from interlibrary loan. She had personally transcribed the tax lists, marriage bonds, school census, funeral home records, etc., from microfilm, and put out a huge volume of work on Montgomery county.
