MAN may have been brother of Mary E. It could be a clue to her maiden name. In the 1860 Census the above two PAYNE families are not listed. There is a George W. PAYNE 21, wife Martha 24 both born KY. In that h/h also is Sarah GOODPASTURE 20 b KY.
