    2. Barbara I. Amburgey
    3. I am looking for information on Shelton WILLS b. abt. 1824 d. 1868-1870 and his wife Cordelia b. abt 1825 of Montgomery and Morgan County, KY. I'd especially like to find a death record for Cordelia in Montgomery County sometime after the 1880 census. Their children were: Nelson 1842, James 1844, Elsberry 1846, Emmaline 1849, Stephen 1853, William 1854, Amanda 1860 and Rose E. 1865 and Andrew T. WILLS 1868. Shelton believed to be the son of Thomas WILLS and Mariah SWANGO. Barb

    2. Guy - I don't know if we can exchange useful info or not. I do know that a Zimmerman signed a land transaction record as a witness for John McCullough, in KY. McCullough was my 3G GF and the signature of Zimmerman was quite distinct. It was extremely legible - unlike so many of the other signatures of those who could write in those days. I think Zimmerman and McCullough may have been neighbors. Alan McCullough

His daughter Mary married Alexander Ramsey (or Ramsay) on Jan 20, 1795 in Bourbon Co., KY. Alexander died Jan. 1, 1807 in Fleming Co., KY, and is buried in New Hope Graveyard. Mary was his second wife.

    3. Anne, I am descended from Frederick William Wills, born 1742, Albemarle Co. VA. He and his wife, Frances Durrett, and ten children moved to Clark Co. KY in the late 1780's. It is possible that Frederick and your Andrew are related. I have nothing at all to prove that. In fact, we have no further information about Frederick William other than that his father's name was William. This is just a suggestion...you may want to see if you can turn anything up about Andrew in the Albemarle County area of Virginia. If you've done any research on Virginia lines, you know that Albemarle county is made up of bits and pieces of many other Virginia counties and looking for records there can be frustrating. Whatever, I wish you luck. Let me know if you think I might be of help to you. Marilyn

    3. I would like to request that folks put the full names (given and surname), dates, etc in their roll call messages. I see names I am also researching and have to contact each person who posts those surnames to see if we have a match. Oftentimes, they don't bother to answer which tells me we probably don't match, but it would be nice to see their lines posted instead of just surnames. Lois in Auburn, CA P.S. I posted mine in full.
