On a WWI draft registration my relative Edgar & his mother Armina Combs Burgess are listed as living in Fagan, Ky. I can not find this town on the map. Does anyone know if the town name changed? I am new to your list. I am searching for information on Robert S. Cole born between 1770 and 1780. He married Martha Ward, daughter of John Ward and Hannah. Robert and Martha were married 16 Jan 1804 in Fayette County KY. They were listed on the 1820 and 1830 census in Montgomery CO Kentucky. John Ward was also living in Montgomery County in 1820 and 1830. Robert and Martha Cole moved on to Decatur CO Indiana. What happened to John Ward? Would appreciate any and all help. Thanks! Bev

Alexander Hagen (or Hagan) is listed on the 1820 U.S. Census for Montgomery County, KY. I believe this is the same Alexander that lived in Frederick County, Maryland in 1790 and in Clark County, KY in 1810. Seeking info on WILLS, George, b. 10/1/1801 in Montgomery Co, KY; d. 3/22/1888 in Willsburg, OR. Married MOORE, Sarah Jane on 4/21/1821 in Bath Co, KY. (Sarah Jane b. 9/4/1804 Bath Co, KY; d. 3/15/1886 Willsburg, OR). He also ran a sawmill in Indiana and Iowa. George WILLS and Sarah Jane MOORE WILLS left Iowa on 4/4/1846 by ox team. George was the Team leader of covered the Oskaloosa Wagon Train. While traveling across the country, the Oskaloosa Train came across another wagon train that had lost most of their mules to the Indians. The Oskaloosa folks split their mule teams with the other train. It was very slow going, but both wagon trains made it safely to the Portland, OR area. In 1858, George and Sarah w/son David and daughter Jemima J. Wills WHEELER and her husband, Jacob Wheeler moved to Oysterville, Washington. In 1860 George owned 180 acres of land in Oysterville and harvested Oysters. On 7/2/1860, George was Superintendent of Schools in Oysterville, Washington. Prior to 1870, family left Osyterville, WA to return to Willsburg, Oregon. In LDS files, he is listed as George Jacob Elder Wills and is shown as being born on October 7 , 1801. There is no documented proof that Jacob was his middle name. Looking for info on parentage or siblings of George WILLS. Any assistance with this brick wall would be greatly appreciated.
