Jeannie <>< Gone worm threatens disruption Anti-virus experts have issued a warning about a new computer virus called Gone. Trend Micro says the rogue email arrives with an attachment - apparently a screensaver - called Gone.scr. The message reads: "When I saw this screensaver I thought of you." Trend Micro says although the worm is not destructive, it threatens disruption via Microsoft Outlook. Users are advised to update their software protection

While driving in Pennsylvania, a family caught up to an Amish carriage. The owner of the carriage obviously had a sense of humor, because attached to the back of the carriage was a hand printed sign: "Energy efficient vehicle. Runs on oats and grass. Caution: Do not step in exhaust".
This person is not a member of the list so please answer to her directly... Recently, I posted a request for info on the Turner family in Montgomery Co. Since then I have received two replies and both had a virus attached. Needless to say, I would like the info, but not the virus. Julie and Mary Wilson please respond to me once your virus has been taken care of. Anyone else with Turner info, I would love to hear from you. Thanks Barbara
Hazel Burns.... Darlin' you have the virus.... I THOUGHT that I had cut and pasted your e-mail addy but when I went to unsub you the computer crashed on me now all I have is your name and Montgomery co list... :) sorry to have to do it this way.... Tis not your fault.. a LOT of folks on these lists are suffering from the same nasty fellow.. badtran...... is putting it mildly..... :) Jeannie <>< list mom
Hi every one... Well.... This is sure an active list.. :) at least among yourselves as I have the most virus coming from the Montgomery co list... so I had to unsub a couple more already this am.. that is about 7 of you in the past few days... so why don't all of you do a sweep of your antivirus and do a clean up before you send out any more e-mail...... Tis good that you are sharing tho... but NOT the badtran... you can keep that one.. ;) have a great day.... Jeannie <><
attn: Judith with a Turner attachment to [email protected] you just sent me a virus
I am cutting and pasting this from Roger.. I do appreciate his post. But ANY forwarded email from him I would just delete for now... Jeannie <>< list mom I got my first virus ever though I run more than usual anti virus protection. Do not open any attachment from me unless you know I sent it and you are expecting it. My system responds as clean, but want 24 hours to verify. I will resubscribe when I am positive everything is fine. Roger [email protected]
This worm seems to have attached itself to the e-mail somehow and there are NO attachments. SO, as it returns as a reply to the list posts, when I receive them I will unsubscribe every one that they are arriving from and when you rec. a unsub notice that you did not call for that is why.. and will resub you when you let me know that your computer is clean. I didn't understand the working of this thing and still don't fully. SO if you are going to respond to any of the posts on the list I would use a clean letter. Don't forget to run your anti virus's OFTEN.... And DELETE any suspecting e-mail... especially if the return addy has a _ at the beginning. Tho not all of the infected ones seem to ... when you open the e-mail there will be nothing there.... Thanks, jeannie <><

Frank, a lot of people from Montgomery and Clark County left for Putnam County, Indiana in the 1820's, 1830's, including the Badgers and later some of their kinfolk, the Allens and Williams. The lure of land that could be cultivated pretty easily seems to have been the draw. If you have any of the associated family surnames, I would like to correspond with you. What I know is this: Robert Cross Woodall (m. Lavina Saffley or Softley in Montgomery Co., Ky) bought two quarters of land in Putnam Co.; onto one quarter moved John Thomas Woodall (who married a Jane Richardson and who has a namesake in Robert Cross' children, my great grandfather, John Thomas buried at DeSmet S.D. just down the hill from the Ingalls family of Little House fame.) Onto the other quarter Robert Cross Woodall himself moved. --- William Bonner <[email protected]> wrote: > Frank, a lot of people from Montgomery and > Clark County left for Putnam > County, Indiana in the 1820's, 1830's, > including the Badgers and later > some of their kinfolk, the Allens and Williams. > The lure of land that > could be cultivated pretty easily seems to have > been the draw.
