It could be yours but there is information that you did not share. This is what I gleaned from the query. Whether it is correct is unclear. Martha Ann Chestnut was married to Elijah James Gregory. They removed to Attala Co., Mississippi in 1861. The couple had three sons; Charles, William and Junius. It is suspected that Elijah died in the Civil War. Martha remarried a Williams and they had a daughter named Letitia. .......................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................From what I am finding neither Martha nor Elijah was from Monroe Co., Kentucky. There is information on the family at Ancestry.com. Elijah died at Murfreesboro, TN., according to a researcher. Name: Elijah James GREGORYSex: MChange Date: 08 FEB 2012 Birth: 10 JAN 1! 831 in Sampson County, North CarolinaDeath: 28 DEC 1862 in (Died is service to the Confederacy), Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee...........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................It appears that Martha, Elijah and two of the sons were born in North Carolina. The youngest, Junius, was born in Mississippi. I believe he is found in the Williamson family in 1870 which makes me wonder if the Williams and Williamsons might be the same.> To: kymonroe@rootsweb.com > From: blakejanie@aol.com > Date: Wed, 6 Feb 2013 14:35:03 -0500 > Subject: [KYMONROE] genelogy > > > Looking for any information you may be able to give me on Martha Ann (Chesnutt) Gregory for she was my grandmothers mother and I am lost to find info on her after 1870 and where she died and who was the Williams man in her life.
