To the person who wrote me about the Martin, Lewis and Newman families, I thank you so very much. You didn't list a name so I don't know who to address. This Mary S. Lewis is the right age to have married my Martin. the son, William G. Martin, lists his father as Doc Martin on his marriage certificate and I don't know if this is a nickname or an occupation. William's death certificate is difficult to read but the name of his father looks like "Fenord". Someone on the list suggested in might be Nimrod and I've searched for Leonard also. William G. Martin was a widower at 27 when he married Nora Eaton so I'm trying to find who the first wife was and where it took place. Another marriage certificate might reveal more about his father.
