Hi Mary, First.....you might get information about the town of, Flipppin, KY. such as address of the Court House for, "vitals information", regarding "deaths". Also.....you might get a copy of a Phone Book during the 1950's for the town of Flippin, to see if her family is listed in that town. I'm taking it that, "GREEN", is her maiden name? Did she attend school there? You can establish the 1950's as your starting date and then work backwards into the 1940's - 1930's - 1920's - and so on..... I've never heard of the town of, Flippin. Exactly where is it in Kentucky? I sure wish you much luck and success in your search. Let us know how it turns out, okay? She is older and cannot remember when her Grandmother, Laura Desmond Green, died. She thinks it might have been in the 1950's. On the censuses (1910-1930) I have found the Family, James Olonzo Green with Laura, his wife and children (Edward, Charles, Franklin, Bessie C., Claude and Orville) living in Gum, Monroe County, Kentucky. She says that she thought they lived in Flippin. Is there anyone with some info or ideas that can help me?
