Thanks for the correction. The church in Flippin Kentucky is the Indian Creek Baptist Church. Neal Cemetery is the larger of the cemeteries in Flippin. Don't blink when you drive through Flippin or you will miss it. It is just a crossroads. Lots of rich history in the Indian Creek area of Monroe County. Four + generations of my family have lived and farmed in the area since about 1830. Just before you get to Flippin driving south on Hwy 249, there is a small cemetery named "Wards Cemetery". It is on the left side of the road. Three new markers were added to this cemetery this year to honor my ancestors that first settled in the area "Elzia and Elizabeth Arterburn" and two markers for two sons (Thomas and Elijah) who were killed fighting for the Union with the Kentucky 9th Infantry Regiment in the Civil War. We have never found the true burial site for any of the them. Anyone wishing a photo of the markers can e-mail me for a copy. I would estimate that Flippin is about 25 miles east of Scottsville. It is in Monroe County, south of Lamb and north of Gamaliel. Mike
