    2. Flippin Kentucky is nothing more than a crossroads. My grandfather actually built the one and only gas station and the creamery in the town. In the 1950's when I was a boy, the town had at most 12 homes, a couple of churches, a couple of cemeteries, a dry goods store, a general goods store where you could buy ice cream and cigarette rolling papers (these two I remember), a gas station and a creamery. Today, there are no stores in Flippin. There are a couple of homes. There are two churches, the newest being the Bethel Baptist Church where my family has it's annual reunion. The creamery is gone as well as my grandfathers' home. Only the old outhouse still stands. The main cemetery is Neal Cemetery where Jim and Laura Green are buried. I send the dates in private e-mail to Mary. Michael N. Arterburn 210 Marywood Avenue Claremont, CA 91711 1-800-350-5445 [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected])

    3. Interesting, you a little incorrect. Flippin does have 2 churches, 1 being Indian Creek Baptist Church and 2nd the Flippin church of Christ. I have never heard of Bethel Baptist Church in Flippin, unless it is the same as Indian Creek, but that name has been used for over 60 years. I live very close by and drive thru Flippin on my way to visit my parents in Gamaliel....Neal Cemetery and Flippin church cemetery is still used today. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of [email protected] Sent: Monday, September 11, 2006 6:13 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [KYMONROE] Laura Desmond Green Flippin Kentucky is nothing more than a crossroads. 3. Is this East of Scottsville you are talking about. If so what was the building that's still standing? ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, September 11, 2006 6:13 PM Subject: Re: [KYMONROE] Laura Desmond Green > Flippin Kentucky is nothing more than a crossroads.
