This is perhaps off the subject of genealogy but let me throw it out for your help. I am seventy-three years old and the subject of love came up the other day. I said that I couldn't recall ever hearing either of my parents or grandparents using the word love. My parents never told me they loved me but I never doubted that they did. I have asked others my age and they agree. Can anyone explain why it was not used back then? Sorry if this type of question violates the use of this site. James Wm. Wallace, in Michigan
