    3. I'm sorry. I do not know where I got that census information. I went to the LDS 1880 census, and it does look like it says "father-in-law," Also, the 75 year old is shown as male. This must have been my mistake.     3. Yes, that is what my copy of the 1880 census shows. I wondered if the letter after the name of Blankenship could have been Mr. As I look very close, there seems to be a period after the M. The one good lead was the William Blankenship b. 1801 who lived near the Cumby family. Richard and Nancy Cumby did have a child they named William and I have wondered if he was named after one of their fathers. The age of 75 doesn't quit match the 1801 birth time, but it is very close and they did make a lot of mistakes on those census.
