Hey Folks, Several have asked, so here goes. My grandfather "Amos Levi McWherter 1889-1935," supposedly had 3 or 4 Farm/Feed Stores in Monroe County possibly Barren/Hart. My best "gestimate" as research to date, would be Monroe County though. I wouldn't think the actual buildings are still around, but you never know what may show up by asking as some of you stated. He was the eldest on of Batley Asa McWherter and Sara F. (Matthews). Their other 9 children all died from the ages of 1 day - 6 days. His wife was Gertrude Isenberg. Other older Surnames that tie to me would be: McWherter - Arterbaum, Bacon, Billingsley, Blythe, Botts, Bray, Britt, Carnahan, Clark, Clemons, Crabtree, Danniel, Davis, Dillard, Ekblom, Fergerson, Frazier, Gee, Greer, Grider, Grissom, Harlin, Hoss (Native American?), Houchens, Howard, Isenberg, Jones, Kelly, Kingery, Lovelady, Lowe, Matthews, Miller, Page, Pruitt, Shipley, Short, Strode, Strother, Simmons, Vaughn, White, Whitlow and Witty. Isenberg - Adair, Adams, Agers, Barrons, Chapman, Cline, Colbert, Crabtree, Doyle, Fisher, Fox, Hunter, Laird, Lively, Lloyd, McCombs, Minor, Mohler, Phemister, Pitcock, Reynolds, Roberts, Rogers, Sherfy, Simmons, Sturgeon, Toohey and Turner. So, if any one is related or have established sites, primarily with Barren/Hart/MONROE/Warren County - I would love hearing from you. Rick McWherter, Louisville, KY
