Thanks! http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=message&r=rw&p=localities.northam.usa. states.kentucky.counties.barren&m=9273.1 First special thanks to Sandi for posting these obituaries - especially when no relation to her 'own family research'. I'll also be sending this to the Job and the Monroe Co., KY list. I'm attaching a death record for Nancy Jane 'Nannie' to this Barren Co., KY Message Board posting (thanks to Randy Jobe). This record shows that Nancy was born August 15, 1863 Monroe Co., KY and died July 29, 1930 Barren Co., KY. She was buried Peden Cemetery, Barren Co., KY. Her parents were James E. Bryant and Sallie Patterson. I have the following census records for her: 1870 -Monroe Co. Kentucky, Precint 6, Tompkinsville, page 187, #131-127 (enumerated Jan 17, 1870) Sarah G. Jobe - s/o Amon Jobe and Rhoda Arterburn. QUESTIONS: 1) Since Nancy isn't with George on 1910 census, where is she and the children besides Viola? 2) We know that Geore remarried Rebecca Malissa 'Lissie' 'Elissee' Ford (have copy of this marriage record and does say 2nd marriage for him) on September 22, 1913 Monroe Co., KY. Was George and Nancy divorced? 3) Where is Nancy in 1920 and 1930? (I've been collecting all Job/Jobe census records and so far have not found her. 4) Who was Nancy married to before she married George Jobe? 5) When and where did she marry George Jobe? The 1900 Monroe Co.,KY census states that they had been married for 5 years. Thanks for any help! Ann (Jobe) Brown <[email protected]> http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ajobebrown/jobe.html
