    1. Ancestors of Dorcas (Smith) Page, 1771-1865
    2. Dan Page
    3. Fleming Smith md Prudence Bland in Pr. Wm. Co., VA, and they made their way eventually to Monroe Co. KY, where their daughter Dorcas md John Page, a son of Robert Page Sr. and Rachel Brockman. The History of Spartanburg Co., South Carolina, by J.B.O. Landrum, 1900, starting pg. 208 has information on the sons James, Fleming, Thomas, John, and Charles Smith, from Bull Run, Virginia. It says their father was from Wales, and his spouse from France. Thomas Jr. never married, and the book contains biographical information on the families of the other brothers but not Fleming. The book "PETER SMITH of Westmoreland County, Virginia (Died 1741) and Some Descendants," by Wilmer L. Smith and Richard B. Abell, includes details down to Fleming Smith, and beyond. Wilmer sent me a copy (sans index) several years ago. They then had the plan of updating and reprinting but I don't think they ever did. For some reason, over the years. I collected info about Fleming Smith's ancestors and the ancestors of his wife Prudence Bland. These were collateral lines for me so the research was not exhaustive. Anyway, the info includes many ancestors of descendants of John Page 1777-1819 who d Cumberland Co. KY. I just made a gedcom file (about 134kB) of Dorcas' ancestors. It goes back about 4 generations earlier than Dorcas (Smith) Page on most branches, including mention of Peter Smith who came to VA 1635 on The Transport from England, and James Bland 1655-1725 who died Old Stafford Co. VA (now Pr. Wm. Co.).
