Doug Moore posted back in 2001 this message but he doesn't give all of the 1900 census details. So I am trying to get the census with all of the information. Perhaps he is in the 1900 TN census. Genealogy.com shows an Allen Dicken in 1900 and 1910 TN Census but I do not have access to that information. "Sometime between 1880 and 1890 Allen Dicken moved over to the Martinsburg area in Monroe Co. Martinsburg is just a mile from the Cumberland Co line. In 1900 Allen was living in the Martinsburg region and Nancy Ellen was at home with a listed birth date of July 1880. Since Nancy was not listed in the 1880 census, it is likely that this 1880 birth date is accurate, even though her gravestone reads 1879. From Nancy Rouse's Kentucky Death Index entry, one would also conclude that 1879 is the date given on the death certificate. Allen and Lee Ann Dicken are buried in the Bailey Cem, so perhaps they lived somewhere between Hestand and Vernon.'' Doug Moore Kristie Setser Keeping Genealogy Free.....
