    3. Does anyone on the list know someone in the Tompskinville area that does genealogy research? My family is in need of someone who is familiar with Monroe county records, what is left of them and what is available, to do research prior to 1846. We are looking for a Grace McMillin that married a William Bailey b. 1794. They lived in Bailey Hollow along Bailey Creek. That is close to the Cumberland River in the South eastern part of Monroe County. William left without Grace about 1846 and came to Platte Co. Mo. WE assume she died in Monroe Co., But we can find no record of her grave. We suspect she came from the Daniel McMillin clan since they were the only McMillins in the area in 1815, but have no proof. We have proof that John P. Bailey married Ellen McMillin prior to 1838, but again no burial record or parents. These are proven on death certificates. Would be willing to hire someone to do the diggin. Thank you Jeanette in Independence Jeanette Bailey-Lopez [email protected] Families are like fudge......Mostly sweet but with a few nuts.
